TKI helped bring maritime history come to life by donating labor and resources to the restoration of a World War II era submarine, the “USS Pampanito”. TKI donated peelable shims that were used in the gearing of the deck guns aboard the submarine, so they could be raised up/down and move side to side for aiming purposes. It was important to make these deck guns functional, so that guests have a clear understanding of how they work .
